At your first visit, you will be invited to a group discussion for around half an hour about the charity and to find out if we suit your needs. This is with one of our Trustees, Andrew.
Following this visit, you will be asked to join a computer Assessment session, for two purposes:
- To give you a Fair Assessment
- Literacy & Numeracy level checks.
You will then be invited for your second IAG visit, for a personal one-to-one discussion with Andrew to see how we can support you or you support us further. There are two options at this stage:
-
Register as a Volunteer and submit a CRB check
-
Register for a course with us and allow us to check the levels you will be able to achieve. Please believe our judgement as we intend for you to take a course that you will pass. If you are not ready yet, we will let you know the steps to take or if you are too high, we can inform you how you may be able to achieve a higher qualification. We will advise you on work placements and your progression stages.
